starting to blog more and more often now, innit. haha. sometimes its good to put my thoughts down, so that they're not all stuck inside my head. i think tt was what jk rowling was thinking about when she came up with the idea of the pensieve. she had too much ideas and plotlines in her head when it came to harry potter. haha.
i just finished one game on the ds, its called professor layton and the curious village. basically it follows a storyline, but you would have to solve puzzles as you go. its really cool, and i cnt wait for the english version of the next installment to come out. heard tt oguri shun is gg to be in the third installment, but if i play the english versh dont think ill hear his voice. daym.
and im learning french too! on the ds. its fun, but the pronunciation kills me. its totally different from japanese, which is rather straightforward with its vowels and everything. french consists of tongue rolling, throat sounds, and every sound that is remotely hard to form with your voice.
un, deux, trois, quatre, cinq, six, sept, huit, neuf, dix.
heehee. its really fun. i need to prepare myself for ntu if i am gg to take french after i finish my japanese.
have been reading a few blogs about ntu and uni applications in general, because ppl have been finding my blog because of it, on google search. what i get incensed at is when people say poly students are of lower standard and iq as compared to jc students. i cnt believe that there are still closeted, pathetic people in the world who still think like tt. don't you read the news? o level students getting 'jc-enabling' grades still opt for poly. ITS OUR CHOICE, not THE ONLY PATH we have. and i think we deserved recognisation for the courage to choose the harder path to uni, because we know what we want to do early in our life.
and i think many many more poly students HAVE the ability to be great uni undergrads. having a merit diploma is not as easy people might think it is. of course, im not saying a business merit holder should get immediate entry to medicine or anything, but at least to his/her related field of study. many poly students don't want to be put down so early.
being a poly student, i might be biased in my views. but im not saying poly students are superior in any sense, i just feel we should be given a fairer chance, if there's such a thing at all. you cannot compare GPAs and A Level results, they are two totally different things.
and away with idiots who are still stuck in their wells.
